Mia Tyler, the 31-year-old daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, has launched an as-yet-unnamed management company for young, up-and-coming artists in the rock and metal genres. Regarding her decision to pursue a career in the music business, Mia told Blabbermouth.net, “Working in the music industry has always been something I have wanted to do. I made the decision this year to pursue this more and get into the management side of things. With all the friends I have in the music industry it just seems fitting and I’d like to think I am good at it. I’m sick of the Hollywood B.S. anyways. “I have been working with bands to help guide them in the right direction. So management just seems more fitting.”

G-Star’s RAW Gallery will be set up in the Grand Gateway shopping mall in Shanghai, China. Liv Tyler will be present for the opening on May 28th and for interviews, dinner and a party on May 29th. Max Rose tells the story of a widower who revisits key moments in his life to unlock the mysteries of his marriage and family. According to Variety, the film will be directed by Daniel Noah from his own script, and is set to go into production in Los Angeles this fall. In Variety, Lewis stated: “We’re going to show an old man who is driven by love and optimism, and by his love for his young daughter.”

And the next superhero is… Rainn Wilson? The funnyman from The Office has landed a role in an all star comedy called Super. Writer/director James Gunn, who also wrote Scooby-Doo and the Dawn of the Dead remake, has a different sort of take on superheroes. “It’s a story of a man who wants to be something more than human,” Gunn said. “He attempts to do that with varying levels of success. It’s Rainn Wilson, Kevin Bacon, Liv Tyler and Ellen Page. Rainn loses his wife, Liv Tyler, to this drug dealer and he decides to become a super hero (The Crimson Bolt) to fight what he perceives as a supervillain and try to get his wife back. In a lot of ways, it’s sort of a love story. It’s about this guy who wants his wife back, but he also has certain mental peculiarities.” The recent hit Kick-Ass dealt with a similar premise, only it was children trying to become superheroes. Gunn says there’s no competition. “Our movie is what it is. I know [Kick-Ass author] Mark Millar and we’ve been e-mail friends for a while. I actually wrote the script before Mark ever wrote the comic book. So our movie is what it is but it’s very different from Kick-Ass because Kick-Ass is way more action movie. Ours is about human beings. It’s very natural.” You’ll still get to see Rainn Wilson play action hero though. “Yeah, there’s a lot of action but our action is not superhuman. It’s very real. And we’re not dealing with teenagers.” Super is out later this year.

Liv Tyler has a “ritual” to getting ready with Kate Hudson. Liv revealed the pair – who attended the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute gala in New York on Monday (May 03) together – like to get ready in a special way. She said: “We have this little ritual where we meet at like 2 or 3 o’clock and we drink champagne and do hair and makeup and take pictures. “Then we come here and we start walking and we’re like, ‘Oh my God! I’m going to trip!’ ” Liv and Kate attended the event with Stella McCartney – who designed both of their outfits – and the British designer revealed Kate in particular appreciated the cream v-neck floor-length gown. She told Us Weekly: “She said it makes her feel like a princess. It was made for the girl. It is very much her personality.” Liv and Stella are particularly close, with the Armageddon actress revealing her ideal night in would be at Stella’s country house talking about men. She said: “A great night in? Stella McCartney’s house in the country. Once our kids are asleep it’s ‘grab the wine’ and take turns to talk boys and husbands.”
